Why choose dental implants?

In a world that is becoming ever more image conscious more people are considering the idea of having work done to their teeth to improve the look of their smile. For a lot of people who consider having dental work though it is because they have missing or damaged teeth and simply want to restore their smile to how it was previously. Dental implants are one of the most commonly used methods for replacing damaged and missing teeth and there are a number of reasons for this.

There are a number of benefits which come from having dental implants fitted, the first of which is their longevity and their strength. Dental implants are fitted to the bone making them extremely sturdy and allowing them to withstand a lot of rigorous use. While dental implants can initially be quite costly, this lasting quality means that after the initial expense a person is unlikely to have to spend money on their teeth again for a long time.

When someone has dental implants it is also very easy for the orthodontist to exactly match them to the surrounding teeth so that they look like they belong there. The material which the implants are made from can be coloured to the same of the other teeth too. This helps the teeth to fit in and not look out of place when the person smiles.

There is also no limit to the number of dental implants a person can have fitted. For people who did not look after their teeth earlier in their life this is a huge benefit as they have the opportunity to once again have a full smile. The only downside to having a lot of implants previously was that it was a very long process but this has now changed with the introduction of All on Four dental implants.

All on Four are a new type of implants which allow a person to have as many new teeth as they need fitted but using only four implants. This makes the whole process much quicker and easier for both the orthodontist and the patient.
